Found my stash of hickory and fruit woods (apple, cherry, peach) in the garage last night. I used to cook semi-professionally for LSU games and smoked chicken wings were one of my specialties. Did 4 wings, 4 hamburgers, 4 hot dogs with hickory/cherry blend for lunch.

3 big split breasts. Homegrown Anaheim/banana peppers. 1 can diced tomato. 1 can Rotel tomato. 1 onion. 2 cloves garlic. Red wine. 350 oven 40 min. From Seems Like Old Times (1980).

Made four. Two with cheese, two without. Zapp's No Salt chips. 

Beer and Buttermilk Biscuits 7/4

 

2 cups Pioneer baking mix. 1/3 beer, 2/3 buttermilk (2/3 cup liquid total). 450 oven 8 min. Brush with butter or margarine immediately.

Shrimp Pasta Salad 7/4

 

One stalk celery, purple onion, green onion, lemon juice. Box of rotini. Chilled can of shrimp. Dressing w/ olive oil, cider vinegar, Creole mustard. Toss lightly and refrigerate several hours before serving.
