Wu's Top 15 TV Shows Available on Youtube

I have somewhere a little over 500 TV shows on Youtube. Some of my favorites that I watched over the last few years are here. By available on Youtube I mean I have found at least one episode of the series, but it may be only one. Quark and Ellery Queen both have one ep. available. Honorable mentions were once available.

1. Quark - Richard Benjamin, garbage scow, Tim Thomerson. Good show. One available at the Museum of Classic Chicago Television.

2. Open All Night - George Dzundza, Susan Tyrrell, Sam Whipple, Bubba Smith. Convenience store open all night. David Letterman cameo. First good show I watched totally on Youtube. Not every ep. is available but I watched all of them.

3. Ellery Queen - One of the best shows I watched. Private detective. The one episode available is Vincent Price I think. Also at the Museum of Classic Chicago Television. I watched all of this series. John Hillerman is great as the pompous radio host. David Wayne plays the cop father of Ellery. Top notch.

4. The Snoop Sisters - Quality production all around. I watched all three episodes available and the one with Vincent Price and Roddy McDowall was the most entertaining thing I watched out of 500 plus shows. That whole ep. is horror themed. People in costume, etc. Great episode. Very good series. One of the missing episodes features Alice Cooper and devil worshipers.

5. Richie Brockelman, Private Eye - Dennis Dugan Rockford Files private detective spinoff. I watched all four of these available on Youtube. Good show. I think only one more ep. is missing.

6. The Eddie Capra Mysteries - Lucked out here the one episode available was the single best quality episode out of everything I watched. Turns out that one ep. was nominated for an Edgar Award, the mystery writers award, and lost to Columbo.

7. Tenspeed and Brown Shoe - I watched this as a kid and searched Youtube 2-3 times a year for years until it showed up one day and I watched them all again online. Great show. I still love this show.

8. Spy Game - I watched this when it aired and taped them all on VHS. Sam Raimi created. Spies, kung fu, and derring-do.

9. When Things Were Rotten - Mel Brooks. It's basically a retro Robin Hood: Men in Tights thing.

10. Shadow Chasers - Dennis Dugan again. A kind of comedic pre-X-Files thing. I watched all of these the one season available.

https://thegoldenhornblog.blogspot.com/2020/10/shadow-chasers.html

11. Probe - Parker Stevenson. Tech genius. Solves tech crimes with a female Watson assistant. I watched all of these the one season available. One ep. title is a takeoff on Plan 9 from Outer Space.

12. Cliffhangers - Weird premise, three serials in one hour is actually pretty entertaining. Susan Anton, international intrigue, Old West with hidden Ancient Alien culture, and Dracula.

https://thegoldenhornblog.blogspot.com/2020/07/cliffhangers.html

13. Johnny Bago - Short summer series from Zemeckis team. Wannabe goombah is on the run from the mob and the police in Dub Taylor's Winnebago. Johnny Bago, get it?

https://thegoldenhornblog.blogspot.com/2020/01/johnny-bago.html

14. Get a Life - Chris Elliott, Bob Elliott, Neptune 2000.

15. City of Angels - Wayne Rogers as a hardboiled period gumshoe. A mixed reputation. Some people consider this one of the finest detective shows. The first five are right up there. Very good show.

Honorable Mention: No Longer Available: Wizards and Warriors, Fish Police, It's Your Move, Diamonds (only partial ep. available), Double Dare (Internet Archive).
