Zippy the Pinhead creator Bill Griffith's real name is William Henry Jackson Griffith, after his great-grandfather and photographer William Henry Jackson. One of my favorite photographers. I just found that out recently by accident by reading Bill Griffith's Wiki while doing some history of comics reading.
