Some had been tucked away in the corner of TV room since 2011. Moved into other upstairs bedroom, in one spot. Former DVD shelves now filled up with crime fiction paperbacks. I probably emptied 10-12 boxes of paperbacks. Lots of paperbacks. Now I can see those too. Big project. Lots of dust. Lots of movies and TV shows.
Directed by Robert Altman. Now on Tubi. George Segal, Elliott Gould. Degenerate gamblers. Good on double bill with Let It Ride. It's a good one.

Buffalo/New York state sandwich. I covered this on the Kinja regional sandwich series but I've never come across kummelweck rolls. You've got to have the right bread for these sandwiches.

Good stuff at the Boudin Link site.People traveling through small towns in Southwest La./Acadiana will bring a large ice chest to stock up on boudin and sausage in the little Cajun meat markets. Gas station food in that area may be very good with a good deli in back.#Louisiana #Food https://t.co/AYsC2HIRZv pic.twitter.com/bTQW5VD4yc

Boudin Link site is beauty with links/ratings all shops on Boudin Trail in Acadiana and beyond. Krotz Springs, Port Barre, Ville Platte, etc. Port Barre has a place famous for jalapeno cheese bread. Others have stuffed bread with hot sausage which I love. Many other Cajun treats

One of the last Louisiana dishes in the Kinja archive. In the Cheers episode I am watching now (Fools and Their Money) Diane makes fun of Frasier for mispronouncing the word remoulade. "Diane, I am fed up with the remoulade incident!" A cold Creole appetizer and remoulade itself is a mayo based sauce.
On the old IMDb message boards, this was the infamous poster Strelnikoff's tagline. For clore2, my IMDb movie mentor, who sadly died at the end of the summer. Great guy. Big, huge, movie fan. Knew everything, every movie.

Oldest DVD shelves in the corner are hard to see in the back. All of these at least ten years old and all the way to the very first DVDs I bought in 2001.
DVD player! Older DVD shelves and all the movie books.

7/22/15 in the Kinja archive. The first week of The Golden Horn. This is a truncated version but all the original text is here:
A look at Burt Reynolds in the 70s. Burt becoming Burt and also becoming the biggest movie star in the world. Mainly focusing on the Reynolds movies I have covered on Kinja, but all of the 70s movies will get a brief mention.
Directed by Buzz Kulik. Burt Reynolds. Next on Tubi. Very violent. Story like The Big Sleep. Morris the Cat and Larry Block as the sport trivia genius "Springy" stand out. Dyan Cannon, Joe Santos, John Glover. Victor J. Kemper cinematography. End has a bad stunt go wrong on a jump from a high wall to a tree branch. Looks like Burt himself. Could have been killed. Landed almost on his head. One of the underrated 70s private detective movies and a favorite of mine.
