Director Monte Hellman died on April 20 but I had not heard about it until now. He was 91. One of my favorite directors.

Three Bean Salad

 

From the Kinja food files.

Goes good with smoked or grilled meats. One can red kidney beans (low sodium), one can pinto beans (low sodium), one can navy beans (couldn’t find the low sodium). Drain and rinse. Purple onion, celery, green onion. Dressing with creole mustard, olive oil, cider vinegar. It needs to sit in the fridge a while to let the flavors meld.
