Mamou, Louisiana. Traditional Cajun Mardi Gras chasing chickens on horseback. These guys were all wasted drunk at 10 a.m. At one point the chicken ran right between my legs and I thought I was going to be killed. More at Golden Horn link below:

Season four, episode 9. Dec. 8, 1983. Gretchen Corbett. Magnum hears the voice of a DJ from Vietnam on the radio. When I was a bartender in the early 90s, KLSU had The Hardcore Show late on Friday nights, hosted by Margaret C. Someone I worked with knew her and knew I was a fan and gave me one of her playlists for my birthday. I still have it somewhere. It is also Higgie Baby's birthday in this episode and Magnum is building something but Higgins can't figure out what it is.

Happy Birthday to Paul Dooley and James Hong
Two of my favorite actors on 2/22/22.
Paul Dooley in Breaking Away is one of the top three performances I have ever seen. The scene where he is sitting in a car in the used car lot, listening to the race on the radio and eating pizza, is one of the great moments in the movies for me. I cry every time at that point because he is so excited.
James Hong I just saw again the other night in Blade Runner. So many credits and wonderful moments it would take me all day to list them. Big Trouble in Little China is one of my favorite movies. Seen here with Jack Nicholson in Chinatown.

Iced Coffee

Kelly's Heroes (1970)
Directed by Brian G. Hutton. Clint Eastwood. No negative waves. I just had to troubleshoot separate issues on both the upstairs and downstairs TVs and figured both out in less than five minutes. That never happens. This is the double DVD flip disc with The Dirty Dozen. One of my favorite war movies. That is because it is actually more of a heist film. Nazi gold. Telly Savalas as Big Joe, Don Rickles as Crapgame, Carroll O'Connor, Donald Sutherland as Oddball, Harry Dean Stanton, Stuart Margolin as Little Joe, Gavin MacLeod. Eastwood has said the original cut was better but it is still a pretty long movie.

The Sketch of Lafitte taken from the Review of 1851, is the most complete ever written of a man who combined in his person the accomplishments of a gentleman with the daring and barbaric instincts of the corsair.
