Grabbing a few things every time at the dollar store. Every year you have to be ready. Ida was six days no power. Gustav was 13 days.

I can make a pretty dark roux in about 12 minutes now. Used to take two beers. Etouffee not supposed to be soupy. Spilt cayenne so this version has extra chicken broth. If you spill pepper, double the liquid.

Have 12 banana peppers going on two plants. Third plant has bunch of flowers that will be peppers by next week. Tabasco peppers seem to like the heat.

Little bit of pepper stuffing leftover and no more peppers. Cut an onion through the middle and popped out onion cups. 20-22 minutes 400 oven. Plugged the holes in the bottom of the onion cups with chunks of onion.
